Career Pathways

While we do have career pathways in our schools, we need to increase what is offered. Pathways need to give students more opportunities to learn about careers for the 21st Century. By providing pathways that meet the needs of the students and the community, we can keep our talented youth here in Hawaii, and ensure that Hawaii has the human resources to meet the needs of the future. This will, in turn, encourage high tech companies to come to Maui, and encourage seemless tansition to higher education.

We have many talented professionals in our community that we can utilize to give real world experience to our children. This would give the students relevant information from practicing professionals.

MODERN FOOD PRODUCTION - Provide prgrams in the study of:

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - Provide programs in the study of:

*recycling/Hpower

TRANSPORTATION - Provide programs in the study of:
*airport efficiency
*magnetic elevation systems
*water transportation
*people movers

HEALTH - Provide programs in the study of:
*dental services - dentists and dental hygienists
*medical assistants
*geriatrics
*medical research
*robotics/prosthetics

ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION - Provide programs in the study of:
*design for efficiency
*structure
*green construction
*structural aesthetics
